PAINTED DESERT TRADING POST(Circa 1947)

East of Holbrook, Arizona

Another of our favorite stops along Highway 66. The shell of the old building still remains just east of the Painted Desert. In 1999 we drove our Corvette to this area on the old gravel alignment, using caution all the way. As a side note: I have been told by two experts that this is the only existing copy of this particular post card. I do not recall where it was purchased?
