Poem by Earl Cory’s Sister

Traveling down that road together in his brand new car. How much longer will it take them? God it seems so far. They are coming to that place where they will tie the knot. He will marry her today and give her all he’s got. In that place inside her mind he always has that smile.

And she’s sitting right beside him traveling all those miles. Looking for those special places, that was Cheryl’s way. He would smile and say I love you till my dying day. Traveling down that road together in their brand new car.

How much longer will it take them? God it seems so far. In that place inside her mind he always has that smile. And she’s sitting right beside him showing him her style. How could he have known he’d lose her on that day in May. He would be the first to go that’s what they’d always say.

How could God have taken her, what could have gone so wrong? She was always there to help him always being strong. Traveling down that road alone in his brand new car. How much longer will it take him GOD it seems so far.

I love you Earl Roy Roy Cory
